What you should look for within your cad program is an "explode"
option for text, usually under some edit menu somewhere. I know
thats what mastercam and i believe surfcam does this also. Im not
sure about autocad though. there is a c.n.c. controller program
called Mach1 or Mach2 that might handle that problem also. in the
old days you could print/plot out of any software to an HPGL file to
your hard drive instead of a printer or plotter. by doing this it
creates vectorized data that can be converted to dxf as actual
geometry sooooooooooooooo look for a hpgl to dxf converter and
give that a whirl !!!!
