Don

$50 for a complete three axis relatively precise and accurate setup?
How do you think that Aaron will accomplish this? I built John
Klienbauer's Brute and the used stepper motors and drivers almost
cost me this on E-Bay per axis. Sherline sells a three axis
conversion kit less stepper motors / drives / power supply for $185.

Downgrading from servos to steppers, ballscrews to rolled threaded
rod, and bulk purchases this might be do-able for $100 per axis.

The cheap import machines seem to be notorious for their built-in
inaccuracies. You get what you pay for, and I think that a less
ambitious 'starter kit' as someone has suggested is a much better way
to go.
