I don't know for sure, but I would say that Designcad is still owned by
Upperspace. I bought an upgrade from Designcad 3000 to the newest version,
from them, and the copyright notice still say's Upperspace as well as on the
manual. (this was only about a week ago).
I think that it is great for 2D Drawings, but have not had much luck in the
3D area. For 3D Solidworks is the ticket.
