Have Mecsoft for Mill. Will BobCad work for Lathe?

I do my CAD in Rhino and Alibre. I've got Mecsoft V4.0 (love it!) for
mill CAM. The problem is that now that mach2 supports lathe I'm going
to convert my 7X14 and need a simple lathe cam.

Does Bobcad (v17, ~$300) do a reasonable job on 2-D lathe CAM using
imported DXF? I'm not planning anything complicated and don't want to
spend a lot considering the base hardware. I hear great things about
Dophin but its probably more than I want to spend and I don't need
another mill package.

Any other low end suggestions?
