Re: Cheap Servo Motor?

I'm in the market to purchase 2 or 3 servos for a 2 ft. by 4 ft cnc
router. The servos are for the X axis, Y axis and maybe the Z. My
problem is that I don't know how to convert motor specs into
meaningful information to determine whether or not a given
servo/motor is a good fit.

For example, how did Mariss take the info on this motor and `work the
numbers' to get his results?

I can wire my house and not kill myself, and I'm ok with a soldering
gun... For example, I can assemble a power supply from a schematic,
but I could not design one. Could somebody post some of the `work
the numbers' formulas or is that way to much stuff and a reference
book would be better? Any reference book suggestions?
