Hi Dan,
The Rutex drives are excellent products and very good support (but not
quite as good as Mariss). I would assume his torch controller would be
equally well engineered as his drives. I've used Vlad's products for
well over a year now and have been very happy. I particularly like the
tuning utility which uses a simple to make cable from your parallel
port. You plug it into the drive under test and it gives a step impulse
to the drive and then plots the step response on the PC's screen. You
can then adjust PID values to get the best step response etc. It's a
very useful tool. I had no trouble buying from Oz and the drives
arrived in less than a week.
