Who made the first PC based CNC control?

Good Morning All,

I hope this is not considered OT, but any way, my question is this:
Who made the first PC based CNC control? I would also like to know if
there was one around before IBM marketed the PC in the early 1980's.

I am just curious about how long PC based machine controls have
existed.
