Hi,
I am based in the Uk, and my company is converting the micro mill to
cnc as a turn key package.
We have been working on it for 2 weeks, and I have to say that after
a considerable amount of work that its starting to come together.
The quality of the castings is very good indeed the X and Y leadscrews
have a crude anti backlash adjustment, but it works(we modified ours,
also the leadscrews need a lot of work regarding end float
containment with bearings added at the ends.
The most amazing thing is the work peice envelope, for such a small
machine, its a bigger work area than some mid range mill/drills.
The vairiable drive is very good but very very noisy, I have the
drive in a million bits at the moment, it has straight cut noylon
gears, and the meshing leaves a lot to be desired.I am in the process
of designig a rework for this.
Hope this helps,
