seems they would be slow and eat some power, but also it seems they
should be functional on the mill.
What is the reason they will not work ?
One of the comments to me when I got started was that everthing on
the machine should move easily. if the ways are tight or binding, a
motor will not make them glide or slip.
ditto for screws.
everything should be moveable by hand, allowing of course for weight.
