Tom,
Thank's for the advice. I will look in to the Makita, However; Precision is what I'm also looking for. Sharp corners can be handle with high precision and also no noise with laser. I'm not too worry about large chunk of mass to rough out with laser, It's the neighbor's dog that haul every time the router switched on.

Perhaps before you go down the laser path for cutting wood you might
consider the following:
1. Buy a quieter router. No really! Makita makes one that puts out
half the noise level of some other brands. Look for the db noise
rating on various tool sites. Db is logrithrmic so each 6 db
decrease in sound is noticable.
2. Incorporate a plexiglass chamber around the router with dust
extraction.
While laser is almost totally silent one big enough to cut 3/4" wood
is going to require a LOT of AC power. Probably 3 phase.
In watching a commercial laser carve out some award plaques the other
day, I noticed that while you can do extremely detailed work the
removal of large areas of cuts take a long time. It is fascinating
to watch the small puff of smoke and tiny fireworks on the wood's
surface with no visable cutter.
As for me: give me my nasty, hot, molten metal spewing, plasma torch
that will drown out the nosiest router and blank radio stations for
blocks! Then there is the huge shower of sparks and the fine black
metal dust that gets into everything...arh, ARH!
