Another option particularly if you just want to be up and running fast
is the DenverCNC box. It is a 4 axis turnkey unit based on the Xylotex
driver board. The power supply is integrated as is a built in e-stop
circuit and 2 computer controllable 110 vac outlets (spindle and coolant
are the most common uses). All the wiring is done. You just connect it
to the computer with the included cable, to the motors with the included
cables and plug it into a 110 vac outlet. Cost is $475 plus shipping. I
have them listed on my Sherline e-commerce site at
www.KTMarketing.com/Sheline then follow the link to the online catalog.

I also sell the Sherline 8760 unit on the same site. I have one and have
only played with it briefly. So far I am less than impressed when
running it with Mach2. It requires a 15us long pulse (Xylotex boards
only require 2 us) and in the tests I have done so far with Mach2 the
pulse is so long that it caused a very choppy pulse train. Possibly
could be improved with tuning, but I have not had the time. I have not
tried running it with other software. It is also just a driver. E-stop
and control of any other items beyond the axes has to be wired
separately. At this point I am some what reserving judgment, but the
DenverCNC box is definitely far more feature packed for considerably
less $$.
