2nd try Where do you set up your controller box?

Hello,

First, thank you to those who answered these questions already...

I'm trying to get a sense of "typical", so each answer is useful.
Questions 1-3 are for ANY cnc machine. Question 4 is for desktop
users, or wannabe users...

1)Where do you have your control box, on the left or the right of the
machine? Above or below?

1A) Do you home to plus or minus in X and Y?

2)Is the computer on the same side as the control box?

3)How long are your cables (from the machine TO the control box); in
other words, how far away from the machine is the control box?

4)For Desktop users: As for the control box itself, would you prefer
it to be 4w x 6h x 12d (like a "brick", set on its narrow edge), or
8w x 3h x 12d (like a 3"Binder, stuffed full,laying on the desktop)

Thank you for any answers, they ALL help. This is to help with some
products I'm getting ready to release this Winter... Been working on
them awhile and need this info to be sure they will "work" for you
all...
