CNC book recomendations.

I need a book for someone who I would classify as an intermediate machinist and beginner to CNC, and wants to learn more about both subjects. Currently I am looking at CNC programming Handbook by Peter Smid. Or CNC Programming Principals and Applications by Mike Mattson. Anyone have opinions about either of these two books, or any other recommendations?
Thanks
