I use the nylon pulleys when the size gets over about 24 teeth in the
XL size. they get much cheaper and I put them in the lathe, way
oversize bore and then face the inside wall. I make my own hubs and
just bolt them together. not the cheapest way, but the least out of
pocket.

check the cost of a 72 tooth pulley.

mscdirect want $335.40 for a 10 inch long barstock.
$34.00 for a single steel pully
60 is the largest for the plastic, but is $2.73.
