I bought the Picza 3D scanner as part of a package. The price you'll pay
depends on the size you want to spend. For example,
the Picza PIX-3 is $1100 list. Also, the site is http://www.rolanddga.com/.

[For ~3k you get a combination touch-probe scanner and milling machine
(capable of light cuts in soft metals). The ~1100 Picza is a scanner only.
I've seen the combo unit demonstrated, and it does work fairly well- much
better than the Max NC digitizing probe and software for digitizing
surfaces. The scanning can take quite a while, but the piezo-electric probe
is thin and sensitive, and it does build up a usable polygon model, which
can be output to other programs. I'm in the process of signing up to be a
Roland distributor, so I should know more about these machines shortly, and
will be offering substantial discounts off the list prices.]
