CNC newbie looking for a used router or kit

I am new to this list. I am looking to build or buy a 30x40x6? cnc router.
I will be cutting soft parts, so I don't need alot of power or super
strength. I have googled my way around the obvious web sites and have yet
to find the answer.

Any ideas,

PS; I have an engineering background and 2D and 3D cad skills.
