wonder why my message took so long to post. couldn't find it a day
ago. anyway i figured it out in the meantime. i translated and copied
the curves in multiple steps,then broke the curve copies into the
same number of steps and wound a spline around using the points. did
i confuse you cause i sure confused myself! anyway i also figured out
the surface creation but i can't figure out the toolpath. andrew
