The Renco enocders send too much information for a Gecko 320/340.
The Geckos only accept "single ended" signals (A and B). The Renco
encoders with differential output send A and A/, B and B/, where the
"/" indicates an inverted signal. Just hook the A and B signals to
the Gecko, and see how it works. If you have encoder noise problems,
then you might want to get a diff-single ended converter board from
US Digital (or other sources) and convert the signal right at the Gecko.
