It mounts in three places to the head, as memory serves: you first
remove the gear feed knobs and the z depth stop rod, and the Elrod
quill assembly mounts left, right and bottom. The ball nut is
captured in a block that screws into the quill where the stop nut
used to be. I got the option where the block is split to allow for
disengaging the Z from the ballscrew and I find that I use it quite
often for quick drilling operations.
