Deskam Deskcnc motion controller ??? anyone using it?

I am thinking of purchasing plans for a 4 x 8 cnc router by machine
tool camp . They use Deskam to run there stepper motors. Is this a
proven operating system? I noticed on there website they run in a
windows enviroment. I am planing on doing some 3d work with the
router will deskam be able to handle complex 3 axis moves generated
by surfcam or mastercam?? Thank you
