Hi:
this group. I am interest to build a large scale single

Try Mach2, it sounds like the demo would do you. It will run to 45Khz from
the printer port (and 262Khz from a Gecko slab), and if the demo is enough
to drive your needs, then the price is free. (hard to get a better deal than
free). You simply remove the other 5 axis from the screen using the screen
designer. Mach2's screen designer allows you to create an application that
has only the buttons and such you need for that functionallity. You can even
put VB scripts into a button so the button is defined by you.
Mach2 has recently changed to the point its kinda like a PLC, for some
applications you can create screens that have nothing in common with typical
CNC machines. Picture a screen only with buttons that say "Position first
Jig" and "Move to end assembly", "Position for boring.." and such. G-Codes
and M codes can be placed inside buttons for turning on various devices.

If you don't want a typical CNC screen to drive a strange device, Mach2
is hard to beat.....

Thanks, (Just a self interested plug, I've been away a bit.....) ;)
