The code wheel is listed on the site @$12.00 with the hub probably accounting for the other $10 the HEDS-9040-T00 is listed at £28.00 which is what I paid.

Are you talking about the codewheel and hub alone? Or does the package you
paid $22 for have the HEDS optical head also and some sort of packaging? I
know they sell the codewheels for cheap on the website.
