I've found stuff for my EZ-Trak on eBay. I suggest checking eBay Stores
also. There is a Bridgeport BMDC board currently avaliable and other BP
cnc cards as well. (This makes it easier to connect motor drivers and
encoding data to a (486) PC.) (Search "bridgeport board" - note that you
must search from within Stores or you get nothing.)

Recently replaced an encoder. Used an Encoder Products unit - about $100
less than the original Heidenhain unit. (www.encoderproducts.com) One
interesting thing - the instructions don't provide for correct channel
polarity. It would report DRO but wouldn't home until I reversed the X
and Y channels.

If anyone wants the old Heidenhain unit, they can have it for shipping -
email off list. (It has a broken glass encoder disk.)
