It sounds like you may have a re-wound motor there - In which case, you'll
have to crack open the crown and try to find the star point (assuming it is
wired for 414V). You may be lucky enough to have it wired in delta, but don't
hold your breath !
The 9 wire termination would have allowed for operation on a wide range of
voltages found across the world - USA and UK were not the only markets
Bridgeport sold their machines in.
BTW I'm running one of these 2HP motors on a 240V single phase supply with a
Eurotherm 601 1.5KW VFD.
