I agree that distance to go would be a very nice feature on a CNC
controller. My neighbor has it on their lathe and it helps alleviate
those moments of "is this thing going to run into the chuck".
Another nice feature is the path plotter that emc has. I'm using
TurboCNC and it doesn't have this.
On the other hand, we've not had any really big crashes, so maybe it
isn't needed.
