Re: [CAD_CAM_EDM_DRO] good motion control book?

Hi Bill,

Whew! I wish I'd had such a book when I wrote my controller STEP4.
Normal trig will do all the circular interpolation you need.
Acceleration/deceleration is simply a ramp, based on steps/sec wanted.
An S-curved acceleration contour can also be implemented, but doesn't
seem to be necessary.

"Motion Control by Microprocessors" by Jacob Tal (Galil Motion Control)
is quite detailed, but probably not what you're looking for.

Contact me off list, I might be able to able to answer a few questions.
You should also support ($20) TurboCNC (list on Yahoo), studying the
source code, and asking a few questions will give you a start. Writing
a controller? ;>)
