If anyone has the time, well converting the chinese scales to a format
a pc can use, or using regular two phase quadrature encoders THERE IS....
a single board computer on ebay with solid state hard drive, lcd
driver, vga driver, parallel port, 232, 422 ports. PLUS at the moment
there is a PIC board with encoder inputs. (harder programming)
I did a simple single encoder input into a 8mhz XT parallel port years
ago. It worked great. Display can be a old monitor...
I got my PCM-4862 boards less then $70 each, it only requires 5vdc
unless you use the hard drives/floppy external. Could run a whole cnc
system with this.
I am not related or have interests in this ebay auction, I just
thought it'd be a simpler way of DRO.
