I'm using 1/8 Hp (continuous) rated servo motors with a 2.5:1 belt reduction
on 5 TPI ballscrews. That is about 4.5 In-Lb at 1725 RPM (72 In-Oz), the
continuous rating. With my servo amps, I get about 300 In-Oz from this,
and can do rapid feeds over 100 IPM. It has enough power to snap off a 3/8"
end mill in a non-rotating spindle without faulting the servo. (I did this
while jogging carelessly during setup and rammed a clamp bolt into the
tool.) The calculations I did at

show it can deliver about 1000 Lbs force to the table.
