how to wire 8 wire stepper motor for 4 wire driver?

WOndering if someone on the board could help out with wiring question.
I have a Dyna 2400 with PMI stepper motors (Model # 00S52R6008) that
I am trying to retrofit FlashCut CNC controller boxes to.
How do I determine if the motors are parallel or series?
The wires are laid out four wires on top and four wires on bottom.
Top wires are blue and blue/white then green/white and green. Bottom
wires are brown and brown/white then grey/white and grey. Do I
simply tie two similar color wire together to create four wires? If
some one could help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
