Digital Readout software - packages on the net for Linux

on 2004-03-12 14:40:22 UTC
Hi Guys;

Has anyone seen Digital Readout Software floating around the net for
Linux? If you have do you have any opinions.

This would be software that would "read" the signals of an encoder or
encoders hooked up to a PC's parallel port. The idea is to make an XY
display using existing scales. In this case the original display is a
bit borked, the scales are good though. Having the whole nine yards
with multiaxis software working in a GUI would be nice two.

Alternatively who supports Linux with PCI encoder interface cards?

Thanks
Dave
