CNC on a budget spindles. (Very good product and price!)

Hello,
It has come to my attention(a coupla minutes ago) that some orders
were cancelled for The CNConabudget.com spindles, due to a post I
made about the motor...
This makes me sad.
The product Paul is offering is WELL WORTH the price he is asking,
and is of very high quality. Mine continues to work well, and the
motor, which quality someone had questioned in the thread awhile
back; does it's work reliably and well.
In looking at my post now, I can see that someone "might" have
thought I was saying the motor was bad. It's NOT, and I am actually
on the "side" that believes this motor is up to the task it is sold
for. (Others have said bad things about the motor, but in my
experience that's simply NOT the case... Part of the REASON I posted
was to SUPPORT the motor; not to add to it a negative cast!)
The added fact that I have been able to find the same motor surplus
inexpensively should not mean anything. (FWIW, Paul was not aware the
motor was available surplus, and did not pay the price I mentioned
for the motors he's been sending out.) Do we question our surplus
steppers, drives or servo's, because we find them FAR cheaper than if
purchased new?!?!
So let me clearly state, If you cancelled an order with CNConabudget
for a pcb spindle due to my post; IMO you made a mistake. This is a
fine product, at a more than fair price!
No one asked me to post this. It just seems the right thing to do.
Hope this helps,
Ballendo
P.S. I found the motor locally before I had a spindle from Paul, and
was going to use it to drive a spindle myself! The only thing that
stopped me is that I was looking for a direct drive, and the motor
turns the wrong way for that; something Paul has solved in his
design. I remember feeling disappointed when after all my tests for
torque, noise, size, etc. were complete, I "Noticed" the rotation
would not work for me. Because the motor was very good in every other
way. Still is. (FWIW, the motor has an integral rectifier, so it's
not a case of just swapping the leads. I EVEN took one apart to see
if I could reverse the rotation easily... THAT'S how much I WANTED to
use this motor!)
