For +/- 10V servo amps, you can use the Servo-to-Go card ($888) or my
parallel port motion control board set ($650). This will support up to
4 axes, and has digital I/O built in, too. You need a +5, +/- 12 V power
supply, an IEEE-1284 printer cable (male DB-25 on one end, female
DB-25 on the other), a couple of solid state relays for spindle and coolant
control, and some wire. Any reasonable Pentium PC will work, but best
is at least 133 MHz, and 32-64 MB of memory and a 1 GB hard drive.
Get the BDI CD from Paul Corner in the UK, and you can discuss with
him which version would be best for your applications. Drivers for
both STG and my PPMC boards are built into all the recent BDI CDs.

Info on my PPMC board is at http://jelinux.pico-systems.com/PPMC.html
