I ordered my mill 'stock' with a CNC upgrade, because it was cheaper that way.
On my mill that I bought before the prices went up, the X and Y were drilled
but not tapped. The Z needed to be drilled and tapped. Of course, when I was
drilling the Z the metal template they provide rotated. Works just fine, but
the stepper is rotated a bit, so it looks off. I was suprised how hard it was
to drill the Z, so make sure you have a brand new drill bit.
Use plenty of aluminum tapping fluid. You don't want to break a tap and buy
an expensive replacement part.
