If I understand correctly, you want to move one axis back and forth sinusoidally. A simple
hack would be to just plot a sine wave along along (for example) the x axis, and then
unplug the x axis motor from the machine, the y axis would be running back and forth
sinusoidally until it reached the end of the file.
