In case Peter is already "off", and unable to respond in a timely manner, I
will take this one.
You've got 2 different "Controlling" actions happening-1) the Digispeed(or
the existing pot) supplies a low-voltage DC to tell the motor speed
controller how fast you want the motor to go-2) and then the motor speed
controller does whatever it needs to do to make the motor go that fast.
As long as your motor speed controller accepts a low-voltage DC CONTROL
voltage, it doesn't matter what MOTOR voltage(or current) the speed
controller is controlling.

Hello,
Thanks for the response. I'm very interested in the Digispeed.
What determines the maximum sized motor I can run? As I understand
it, the Digispeed simply replaces the manual control knob function of
an existing PWM speed control allowing computer control.
Whether I'm running a 12V 2A motor or a 120V 18A motor, and a
properly sized PWM speed control for each, does the the Digispeed
even care what current is drawn at what voltage? Help me out here,
I'm just not quite sure how the Digispeed works with different sized
motors/speed controls. Thanks.
