Stepper, Servo how do you work it out?

Hi Guys,

I am a newby to this group and was wondering if I could be pointed to
information that would help me work out the size of stepper motor or servo
motor for building a CNC Mill using a RongFu 45 square column dovetailed on
the Z axis.
