Most of my customer buy the 500-600 oz in stepper motors for either a
ballscrew or acme leadscrew setup for the various larger mill/drills. The
reason for that is the rated torque of stepper motors is when it is stopped.
So looking at the speed curve for any motor gives the torque at speed that
you will want it to rapid traverse.
