I have the stepper motors on my mill,
Iwould like to just be able to run them with a joy stick while
i work on the electronics and software. Anybody have a
source of information? Maybe just a chip and an App Note.
I would like to control the speed and the direction from the
joy stick and would like to have a holding current when no
movement is being made. I have an extra driver board for
my MaxNC and 23 stepper motors like the MaxNC uses.
I have a doz microcontroller boards with Z 8 chips but not
sure I can use them without more help. Maybe one of the stepper
motor kits like Ramsey sells would be a good starting point?
