Hi Bob,

I just posted (again) my 555 timer circuit for moving steppers. See
"circuits" folder in the photos of SherlineCNC list. It was made up to
drive a sensor around in a water phantom. You'll want to put in a
switch for the direction line, and then a push button for the step
pulses. The schematic shows six switches to turn on the power to this
circuit, which should be 1/2 of each push button. This allows the ramp
up of pulses to a stepper.
