That is basically what I'm trying to do with them...
I've found a couple of circuits to allow them to be interfaced with a serial
port, but haven't gotten any of them built yet... I had a few extra PC
boards created for the first one; let me know if you'd be interested in
trying them out.

Then there is the Shumatech DRO-350 project, which is a three-axis display
for the cheapie DROs. Unfortunately, they've decided not to produce any more
PC boards for the design, so you might be out of luck there. Maybe someone
can convince Scott to make the PCB layout public so we can get them made as
one-off prototypes.

I know that Lee Studley is on the list; he's been a good deal of help to me
in getting my project started. You can obtain a schematic and a
pre-programmed PIC fom him for a single axis display. Can't remember how
much he wanted for it, but I think it was in the neighborhood of $20. Maybe
he can suggest some other links.
