Bryan,
On my cnc router I am using 350 oz/in motors and Pacific Scientific 6410
drivers. I am using 1/4 step (800 pules per rev) with a flexible coupler to
a lead screw with 4 turns per inch. This gives me 3200 pulses per inch.
Most of the time I never cut at more that 120 inches per minute.
