First of all please email me direct for questions. I do not want to
disrupt the flow of discussion. Shawn.usa.@.EV.1..net (Remove all
the dots to create email address except the .net). I usually
responed within a hour.

Here is the description and details. I have photos. So many in fact
that I had to zip them up and it's a 3 meg file. Let me know if you
would like a copy.

Mini Mill CNC Conversion

This mill was converted from a Harbor Freight Mini Mill

The conversion was done using KDN Tool & Engineering
Co.http://members.cox.net/kdntool/. I only used the basic kit. You
can buy the X and Y axis ball screw setup for difference in price as
I was going to do. Easy setup and can return the mill back to manual
if desired.

I have it setup using Vexta PK268-03a steppers. All new. X/Y/Z all
have same stepper. I also have 2 extras. One which was intended for
the A axis and a spare (Both still in the box).

The Stepper drivers are IMS IM483. You can get the specs from
www.imshome.com. There manual is available for download. I have 4 of
these X/Y/Z/A. All are pre-installed in case (Can see in pictures).

Power supplies

1 is a standard 5 volt power unit to power the Drivers and Parallel
port unit.

2 is 25 volts at 10 amps. I failed to keep documentation on this.
power unit. Has pelnty of power to run the motors. Case is large
enough to support diffrent power as needed.

Case is a standard 19" rack Case. I installed one safe switch and a
switch to turn on and off the A Axis driver for when not in use
(Reduces heat). Plenty of room to add more switches or different
drivers. Also has coolin fan internal to help keep the case cool.

The printer port card is a Axxus Technologies 2.0 CNC Parallel Pro
controller. http://members.shaw.ca/axxus/. You can download the
manual from there.

I have three limit switches installed but need to be attached to the
controller. Tested and did work with Mach 2.

The Computer is a Compaq Deskpro P-III 500 with two CD drives and
what ever storage and memory and network card. Runs well with Mach 2
software that is already installed. I think you will have to obtain
your own license file., but it is licensed for full version legally
under my name.

Also have a folder of some of the documents I have collected for the
parts used.

I also have a assortment of various tooling and will include in the
sale.

I also have a Digital DRO XYZ unit is an additional cost of 200.00
with scales. These scales fit the Mini Mill as that was what I had
in place prior to CNC Conversion. Unit is like new. Never seen metal
shavings. Scales need new batteries as I just tried turning them on
and they were weak. Scales are in new condition. and again never
seen metal shavings.

I had posted this last week and had a few intrested parties but
never heard back so trying again. I'm open to price as long as I'm
not giving it away. Will consider 1000.00 plus 200 for DRO unit.
This is a you pick it up sale, or arrainge all shipping. I have no
crate and all shipping would have to be covered by buyer. Would be
easier to just pick up.

Again, if your interested please let me know. I have pictures and it
all works. email me direct at shawn.usa.@ev1..net (remove all the
dots ecept the .net)
