Definitely some strong motors. Of course, you can only get 20 A peak from a
Gecko 320.

Practically none, if the seller is reputable. Even buying new motors
from a non-factory
source, you can have problems. Most of these motors, unless they were
given very
heavy use, will perform well for many years in a home shop. I'm using
40 year old
motors in my conversion, and I did NOTHING in the way of refurbishment
to the
servo motors. (The mill needed some new bearings in the head.)
