Hey everyone.
I kinda stumbled upon a small leadscrew source that I thought many
of you may be interested in.
I was recently given a 10 sat dish with a linear actuator on it used
for positioning. What caught my eye was on the actuator was a "Ball
Screw" tag. It seems these units are available in 12 incg to 36 inch
lengths standard and i have seen listings for 48 inch units for some
of the larger dishes. I havent ripped it apart just yet but after
talking to a few more knowledgable people they are indeed pretty high
accuracy devices.
I have seen many of these that were free for the taking and till now
passed all the others up. Now if i can just find linear bearings :)
Hope this is of some use to someone.
