Uhm, yeah, you should be connecting terminal #10 to the common
(ground) of the system generating your pulses. I assume you are
using a parallel port, in which case I think the ground pins are 18-
25 (double check me on that). I am quite surprised you are getting
controlled movement at all with terminal #10 disconnected...that is
the cathode of the leds in the opto-isolators in the gecko drive.
Actually, I wonder if there is an error in the Gecko manual...it says
to connect terminal 10 to either supply or ground...but a drawing
later on shows terminal 10 connected to the cathode of the leds,
meaning it should be ground only. Perhaps Marris uses bidirectional
opto leds and just doesn't show it in the doc???
