Hi Graham
Your lucky day <grin>
I have an Interact complete with manuals etc, and it is indeed possible to
run the whole lot on 240V single phase (apart from the spindle motor).
That ruddy great big transformer *should* have taps to allow it to run at
240V AC, but you MUST use a type B breaker in the consumer unit.
The spindle motor is a multivoltage unit that can be very easily wired in
delta mode for 240V - Then all you need to do is wire it to a 1.5KW VFD. Wire
it direct and do not use the contactors between motor and VFD (not that I
feel I need to tell you this, but others might not know).
The power for the TNC is derived from a small transformer near the top of the
main control cabinet - This too can be wired for 240V across the primary.
Regards, Paul.
