Thanks to both of you!
This mill I got originally had a 220v 3 phase motor on it which was
changed.
It now has a 1 hp. Dayton motor, wired for 110v (can be changed to
220). After reading all the posts about the potential disasters, I
think this electrical dummy is better off with the current 110v setup.
There's no shame in changing the belts for different speeds when
needed and if I need more power, I'll take lighter cuts ;)
There! Just saved myself a couple hundred bucks, not bad for an
afternoon worth of reading.
