Hi,

well I don't have drives yet. I'm trying to select some drives. I
would like to use position controllers like the rutex r992h.

The problem is all the diy-cnc-type controllers want hall signals.

Yeah, I was thinking of using a PIC circuit to read the encoder and
generate my hall commutation every 130 degrees relative to the index
pulse as you say--I would just find the number of counts after the
index pulse that the hall is supposed to switch experimentally, I guess.
