I have never tried to use a router on it but I have machined teflon many
times , it cuts very well at 2 or 300 surface feet per minute and really
likes a sharp tool .
I would suggest you find a speed control and slow it down .
No I have never noticed it trying to melt but I machined it on a
Bridgeport at 2,000 RPM
Feed rate is high ( about like Delrin ) if you go too slow you just
create heat , you want to cut it and get the heck out of there .
Oil would be a waste of time ( teflon is self lubricating ) but water in
a spray bottle will help keep it cool .
