Hi all,
I just recieved a catalogue from a company, Knuth.
Apparently it is a German based company that now has an office in
Chacigo.
The website is
http://www.knuth.de/frameset_usa.htm
Click on LATHES in the center of the screen.
Then select Conventinal Lathes
Then scroll down to the bottom and select the DFF de luxe.
For $2,640.00 it is a dovertail post, 13 x 6 table travel, 13 inch
verticle head movemnt.
The interesting thing about this very unique machine is that it can
be a very small lathe, or a horizontal mill, or a vertical mill.
It seems like they have a very large line of products besides this.
Check out the different milling machines as well.
Very interesting looking machines.
Maybe one of our members is near the office and can let us know the
qyality of any of these units ?
